Port San Antonio Retains DG&A to Fill a General Manager, East Kelly Railport

Port San Antonio is a master-planned, 1,900 acre aerospace, industrial complex and international logistics platform, centrally located in San Antonio, Texas. Created from the former Kelly Air Force Base, Port San Antonio is approximately equidistant from the East and West coasts of the United States and at the center of the NAFTA Corridor between Mexico and Canada. The entire development enjoys designation as a Foreign Trade Zone (#80-10).

Businesses in the energy, manufacturing, transloading, warehousing, recycling, ground transportation and other sectors are already thriving at the Railport. Between FY 2010 and FY 2011, the site’s rail volume grew by more than 75 percent.

The General Manager of East Kelly Railport will be responsible for successfully managing the Port’s business objectives and success measurements.  Establishes relationships and partnerships with senior management, the Port’s railroad operator, and existing Railport customers to define strategic direction that achieves the Railport’s specific objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field (advanced degree is preferred) and have a minimum of five (5) years prior railroad general management experience planning and executing a strategic and operational plan. Real estate development experience is a plus.
