In the past year, DG&A has announced multiple retained placements with Vanguard Health Systems. Most recently, Vanguard Health Systems (VHS) retained David Gomez & Associates (DG&A) once again to fill their vacancy of Vice President of Marketing.
DG&A completed the search for the Vice President of Marketing within 60 days with Sara McVey. Ms. McVey was previously the Vice President of Marketing and Experience Director at Mather Lifeways, a 70-year-old healthcare organization running senior living residence, cafes, and an institute on aging. At Mather Lifeways, Ms. McVey was the hands-on leader of an award-winning in-house marketing team with responsibility for all special events, brand standards, promotions, on-line activity, writing marketing plans and budgets, facilitating external sponsorship’s identifying advertising agency partners, and conducting strategic customer analysis.
As the Vice President of Marketing, Ms. McVey will have the primary responsibility for creating, executing, and managing the brand for Vanguard’s Chicago market. She will originate consumer insights and market knowledge to fully understand the health system’s target consumer and leverage consumer insights, create the health system’s brand, communicate development & validation, and brand equity tracking.
Sara McVey received her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago and her Bachelor of Arts in Health Education and Marketing/Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh, WI. Ms. McVey also serves as the President of the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the University of Chicago Women in Business, and a partner for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Kilt’s Center for Marketing.
